Dr. Esa Turunen is an avid researcher of the Northern Lights. Having previously served as the Director of Geophysical Observatory in Sodankylä, he has studied Aurora for 39 years. Esa has spent thousands of icy cold winter nights outside while shooting the images and video footage of the show.
There are very few people on Earth who can guide you into both the deep science and mythical side of Aurora. Esa happens to be one of them!
